Three MCAs from Kitutu Chache South in Kisii County have now faulted the Kisii Governor over the crowd of dust embedded in the air in their local region along the Kisii-Oyugis road.
Speaking to journalists in Kisii on Monday, the MCAs angrily condemned the dust caused by Ongwae's government that is causing health issues in the region. The MCAs: Charles Nyagoto, John Amisi, and Duke Nyarang'o faulted Ongwae's administration for the woes.
This comes shortly after the contractor of the road downed his tools after a misunderstanding emerged from the Kisii County government over a tax levied on the water that the contractors were fetching from rivers to use in the construction.
"The road contractors should come back and go on with their construction. We are requesting Governor Ongwae and Kisii Commissioner Geoffrey Kegochi to come together and request the constructors to come over and go on with there work since the road is dusty and if the rains come, it will be messier,” Nyagoto said.
"We are requesting the Chinese to come back and do his work as per the agreement. By the way, if he does not come back, our people will start dying as per my perspective. People are seriously coughing especially in Bogusero,” Nyarang'o also said.
