A 56-year-old man from Kiogoro area in Kisii county is currently being held by Kisii central police for allegedly slicing his son into pieces after they disagreed on land matters.
Confirming the incident Kisii Central Police OCS Joseph Ndolo said the man, Elias Momanyi committed the crime on Sunday evening at their home and the chopped body was discovered on Monday morning by his sister.
“We have been informed that Momanyi quarreled with his son on Sunday evening over land and some of the witnesses said the father told him that he will ensure he is dead few days later his body was found sliced and dumped in their banana plantation,” said Ndolo.
Ndolo further said that the family of the suspect has already recorded a statement and they are quite convinced that the man committed the crime as his wife says he returned home at 4 am on Monday.
“We managed to arrest him and he is in the police custody he will be arraigned in Court on Tuesday morning to answer to the charges,” said Ndolo
The body of the deceased is currently at Kisii Level 6 morgue.
