Gusii local leaders have broken silence after Deputy President opposed creation of a Prime Minister position.
The leaders claimed that DP Ruto has no powers to stop creation of the Prime minister post.
"The Prime Minister position is important since a presidential aspirant who will take position two will be accommodated as this will curb chaos after every election," said Victory Swanya.
Swanya asked DP Ruto to consider accepting the Prime Minister to be created to avert chaos.
Isaac Motari, a Jubilee leader said DP Ruto has a right to oppose anything he feels he is not comfortable with.
"Politicians should not criticize DP Ruto for opposing the creation of the Prime minster post since it is his democratic right. The constitution should be amended to reduce the wage bill and not coming up with unnecessary post which will add a burden the Kenyans," he noted.
Tabaka ward MCA Daniel Ombasa defended DP Ruto saying Prime minister post is not necessary.
"I'm behind DP Ruto. Creating a prime minister post will be adding a burden to Kenyans again" said the Jubilee elected MCA.
