A man bought a police officer a few glasses of chang’aa before stealing his firearm and killed himself.

The incident took place at Kampi Samaku in Marigat, Baringo.

A resident said the man, Ibrahim Ewoi, 30, cunningly bought an Administration Officer the illegal drink as he targeted his rifle.

When the officer got drunk, Ewoi put the gun in a sack and vanished with it.

He went to his in-laws and shot at her estranged wife.

"I had gone to live with my parents after he started beating me for no specific reason," Purity Elim, 20, said.

Thinking she was dead, he turned the gun on himself and ruptured his head with a single bullet.

 "For long he has been threatening that he will kill me for running away" Elim added.
