A Nakuru County Executive Committee Member who was accused of being ‘arrogant, rude and incompetent’ has been sacked.
Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui fired Youth and Sports minister Halima Gababa in a communiqué sent newsrooms on Monday, November 19.
The communiqué said Gababa was found liable of accusations leveled against her by various groups within the county.
This was after investigations which were carried away on August this year’s when she served suspension to allow the probe after accusations of gross misconduct.
“Ms Gababa was found to be liable for gross misconduct. In accordance with Section 40 (1) of the County Governmnet Act, Ms Gababa has been discharged as a member of the executive committee with immediate effect,” the statement said.
Trade executive Peter Ketyenya will take over the docket in an acting capacity.
