The youths led by Caleb Motari claimed that Arati is not fit to serve as the Gusii community in the capacity of a spokesman.

“Arati is not fit at all to represent the Gusii community as the spokesperson. It is time we support Interior CS Fred Matiang’i since he is very vocal especially when it comes to the community's matters,” he said.

Motari said on Sunday during the Youth International Day celebrations at Kisii High School noted that Matiang’i articulated real issues about the Gusii community to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Matiang’i deserves to be the Gusii community’s spokesman and not Arati who has been making unnecessary noise," added the youth leader. "As youths from Nyamira County, we are pleading elected leaders from Gusii region to pick Matiangi’i as the community’s spokesperson since he has the community’s interests at heart unlike Arati who is after political fame,” he added.

He reiterated that Matiang’i has the full support from youths in Nyamira County.

He said Arati should focus on city politics and stop trespassing into the Gusii community’s political matters.

He urged youths across the county to shun leaders who will be out to divide and mislead them politically.
