Sources reveal that Nyagarama and his team, visited Supreme Court Registrar Esther Nyaiyaki at Karen on Thursday, moments after condoling with former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.

"I have no doubt that they met at Karen. They are determined to bribe judges and the Registrar is being used as an intermediary.

"We need to have this conversation. Justice cannot be blocked just through money. It's illogical that someone who is facing such a petition can meet a top ranking official," said the source, who spoke in confidence.

Mr Nyagarama is facing a petition filed by his political nemesis Walter Nyambati, the first runners-up in 2017 gubernatorial contest.

But an official from the governor's team has dismissed the claim, adding that the governor returned to Boma Hotel after condoling with Kalonzo.

"He never met Nyaiyaki anywhere. I was with the governor until midnight and I don't remember him going to any other house in Karen other than Kalonzo's," said George Momanyi, an aide at County Secretary's office..

Mr Nyambati, currently out of the country, is optimistic that the matter could be overturned based on evidence tabled.
