At a Breakfast Prayer meeting in Nairobi on Thursday, Deputy President William Ruto jokingly said that he would ask for Raila Odinga's CV and present it to the United Kingdom to be considered for Prime Minister job.

“And because you have been good to us, your request for a Prime Minister, we have retired one in Kenya and since the constitution has abolished the position of Prime Minister in Kenya - so he may not have it any time soon - we will send you his CV,” Ruto had responded to Michael Hastings.

UK is facing political turmoil with Prime Minister Theresa May expected to quit office in June after failing to secure a Brexit deal. She has struggled in office ever since taking over from David Cameron.

In a rejoinder, Sifuna told off Dr Ruto, arguing that Raila is not ready to be offered jobs. He asked Ruto to first help jobless youths secure employment before offering to help Raila get a job.

"Raila hajaomba mtu kazi. Raila anaweza jitaftia kazi. Wewe beba CV za hao ma hustler unashindaga ukituambia uwapatie kazi. You promised millions of jobs for the youth bwana kimwarer and those youth are still waiting.

"In fact we will be calling a CV march to your office soon where all the unemployed youth will bring their CVs to you now that you are in the mood ya kutafutia watu kazi," said Sifuna.

Last week, Dr Ruto had also claimed that he helped Raila secure African Union High Representative for Infrastructural Development job, a statement that was bashed by Raila.
