President Uhuru Kenyatta has emphasized his commitment on the war against corruption, adding that his will not spare all enemies of Kenya on matters public resources scrutiny.

Coming amidst split within his Jubilee party, Uhuru told parliament on Thursday that he will not back down on the fight against graft.

To secure Kenya, he said, all citizens should actively work with the government to bring cartels down, adding that the results will be worthy after all.

"There is no turning back on government reforms that are intended to improve service provision to all Kenyans. There is no turning back on fighting all enemies of Kenya, foreign or domestic, so as to ensure that Kenyans and their property are secure," he said.

“No turning back on the war against corruption as it is a just war, a war to prevent misuse of public resources for selfish interests by those we have entrusted to manage them," added the president.

President Kenyatta is under pressure to tame graft lords, with the country reporting several cases of corruption within government. 

Even with spirited fight in the graft purge, a section of MPs allied to the Deputy President have dismissed the efforts by DCI George Kinoti and DPP Noordin Haji, insisting that they are being used to fight the latter politically.
