Daughter to the Ukambani legendary Paul Ngei, Ruth, a familiar face in the clubs used to sell condoms in nightclubs.

When interviewed, she disclosed that she had been in the business since 2004.

Ruth told the press that she targeted big nightclubs which used to harbor prostitutes.

Armed with an oversize bag, she sold the protective gear to her clients in the clubs.

Despite others shying away from buying the commodity openly, they found a way to acquire it through the waiters.

Like any other job, her challenge was selling the condoms openly to customers who didn't hesitate to question her morality.

She disclosed that her clients included prominent politicians, her business boomed during holidays.

Unlike most politicians, the late Paul Ngei was not incredibly wealthy.

Despite serving as a Cabinet Minister for many years, he was declared bankrupt in 1990 and subsequently had to give up his Kangundo parliamentary seat.

Ngei succumbed to Diabetes in 2004.
