Duale says that it was necessary for the DPP and his office to be assigned more security personnel.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of  Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations at the General Mohamud Grounds in Garissa on Tuesday, Duale said that the DPP  is handling sensitive corruption cases and graft Lords could fight back.

The MP said that the government is keen to ensure the DPP and other agencies are well equipped in the war against corruption and impunity.

"The DPP is handling sensitive files and not everyone is happy about the work he is doing and that is why his security needs to be increased," he said.

Duale said that he has confidence in DPP Haji noting that he will eliminate graft.

The Leader of Majority in the National Assembly asked Kenyans to support the DPP and other agencies involved in the war against graft and impunity.

On Sunday, Inspector General of a Police Joseph Boinnet confirmed that security has been heightened at  DPP Haji and DCI  Kinoti's office.

Security has also been beefed up at DPP's county offices across the country as the purge on corruption gains momentum.

Mr Haji says that he is fearless in the fight against corruption and has vowed to prosecute both the small fish, big fish and even the whales.

The DPP has in the recent days ordered arrests and prosecution of senior government officials over various graft scandals.

Haji says that his office is still studying more files and will be making arrest orders and prosecution soon.
