Diamond Platnumz's manager Babu Tale has joined hands with some Kenyans presenters in asking Kenyan artists to up their games other continuous complaints.
This was after Kenyan artists started complaining of limited airplay for their music at the expense of Bongo and Naija music from Tanzania and Nigeria respectively.
The artists blamed Kenyan DJs and presenters for mostly playing international music throughout the show. However, some presenters let by Jalaong'go said Kenyan artists are not seriously producing quality music as compared to their counterparts from Nigeria and Tanzania.
Mzazi Willy M Tuva was also one of the presenters who wanted Kenyan artists to take limited airplay as a challenge to compete with the likes Diamond Platnumz.
Babu Tale took to Instagram to echo what the presenters said by telling artists from Kenya to take it as a challenge, adding that what Kenyans are facing was the same with what Tanzania faced, but took it a challenge to get where they are now.
Babu Tale recalled how Kenyan music was a hit in Tanzania considering Kenyans sing by mixing both English and Kiswahili, something that forced Bongo artists up their game.
"Kitambo Tanzania ilikua radio zote ni bolingo then ukaamia mziki wa Kenya basi wakenya washakuja sana kwetu na tulikua tunawaona kama wanafanikiwa sababu wanaimba kumix na kizungu galfa, (Years back Tanzania was ruled by music from Congo and Kenya, and we saw Kenyan artists as more succeeding in our soil) said Tale in a post.
Babu Tale also revealed that the secrete behind successful Bongo stars is their handwork and respect to their work, adding that as Kenyan artists complain, Tanzanian artists will be thinking of releasing quality music.
"Nyie endeleeni kulalama wenzenu wanafanya kazi. Na siri ya wasanii wengi wa Tanzania wanaheshimu kazi na wanaofanya nao kazi je nyie nyie mnalijua ilo, (Keep on complaining while our artists continue putting in more efforts in their music) added Tale.
