An elected Member of Parliament allied to opposition coalition in Nyamira County has said that the future of the Gusii community is promising.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi Mogaka said elected leaders from the community are certain that their differences would be solved for the purpose of development.
"The future of our people is in good hands because as elected leaders from the region we met and discussed a raft of issues which if addressed there will be accelerated development in the region," he said.
He dismissed claims that the meeting was a public relations stunt saying no one could have wasted his or her time to attend the meeting which took close to 5 hours.
"The meeting was not about people seeking relevance as being claimed but it was a serious meeting where we agreed to work as a team from the region to ensure our people are getting access to development and quality government services," said the vocal MP.
The Ford Kenya Party MP said he is not ready to engage his opponents about 2022 general elections.
"I will have no room to engage some desperate individuals in the constituency seeking to contest for the MP seat in 2022. For now I am serving my people," he added.
