Despite reports from his handlers that he was to stay a little bit in Nairobi, Obado secretly drove to his rented apartment in Migori popularly known as State House.

"He took a chopper from Nairobi and landed at Migori airstrip due to strict bail conditions issued by the court.

"Thereafter, he was picked by few county workers and moved to State House. He has been hosting a few friends, church members and family," said a source, who works in a local media station.

The Standard reports that on Saturday, Obado sneaked to Upper Hill SDA church where he caught worshippers by surprise.

And when he was given a chance to address the congregation, Obado asked faithfuls to pray for him "during this trial moments'.

"Kindly pray for me. God has been good all through and I am expecting the best," he said.

After the church service, Obado drove silently to his rented apartment where he will stay for now due to court restrictions.

"He will move to State House for sometime due to strict bail terms. His Rapogi home falls within the 20 km restricted area," the journalist spoke in confidence.

Justice Jessie Lessit banned Obado from coming within 20 kilometres from Homa Bay-Migori boundary, further warning him of any contact with the slain girlfriend Sharon Otieno, whom he's accused of murdering.

He will return to court in May 2019 for trial of Sharon Otieno murder. He's accused of committing the crime with his aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero.
