Speaking during K24's 'Upclose' program hosted by renowned television journalist Betty Kyalo, Senator Omanga said that she used to cry reading the harsh stories that bloggers had written about her.

"I don't know I have done what... I was in which room. I was nominated for what... Let me tell you, initially they used to hurt me and with time I think I cried and cried until I could cry no more... But now I have developed a tough skin because I know my conscience was clear, " she said.

She pointed out that her only concern was her children.

"What would make me feel bad is I am imagining if my kids go online and they see such stuff, it would really affect them but for me personally, my conscience is clear, " she said.

Senator Omanga has been a constant fixture on online platforms many of which peddle negative stories about her.
