The Senior lead counsel Ahmednasir has vowed that he will commit suicide,(which is a crime also) if he is ever implicated, commits or attempts to take or give a bribe.
Asked if he was not corrupt, the top lawyer swore to never in his entire profession having taken or intended to take a bribe.
He said he has worked hard to ensure the Kenyan Judiciary is clean and accountable citing how the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has failed in its mandate to oversee the judges compared to when he was in the commission.
Speaking on JKL on Wednesday night, Ahmednasir reiterated how he has been a firm believer of transparency and accountable leadership in the judiciary.
"I will commit suicide if I take or give a bribe. I have spent all my life ensuring that Kenya has a clean Judiciary."Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi said
His suicide claims follow the rot in the Judiciary in the recent past which has seen Kenyans lose trust, confidence and respect to the Maraga led Judiciary over Corruption allegations by judicial officers and laxity in convicting criminals who have made this country dry.
Ahmednasir placed the judiciary to task when he claimed bribery was at the core before the Supreme Court ruled on the Wajir gubernatorial election petition.
The Senior Counsel made the allegations saying that he was aware that judges were bribed to rule in favour of the current Governor despite his academic qualifications being questionable which became a bone of contention.
However, during the Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) show on Wednesday night, the SC remained firm over the allegations saying he had already written a letter to CJ Maraga and that they are compiling hard evidence and preparing witness statements.
