Instead, Mr Musyoka says a number of his decisions have helped the country to overcome trying moments, citing his cooperation with retired President Mwai Kibaki as an example.

Speaking to Citizen TV on Tuesday evening, Musyoka also dismissed claims that he has been supporting the extension of President Uhuru Kenyatta's term in office, a deviation of remarks he made last week.

"People mistake most of my decisions for indecisiveness. I am not a flip flop and I can assure you that I have been consistent throughout. In 2008, my decision to work with Kibaki saved this country.

"In fact, I didn't say that Uhuru extends his term. I was simply saying that when we change the constitution, as Jubilee party leader, he can have a role to play. There is nothing wrong with that," held Kalonzo.

Mr Musyoka is facing a rebellion from Governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni), who accuse them of making unilateral decisions that affect the Kamba community directly.

For the last two elections, Musyoka has backed ODM leader Raila Odinga where they finished as runners up.

The Wiper leader insists that the NASA coalition is still intact. Musyoka is struggling to stamp authority in his Wiper Party following threats by Kibwana to have him sacked as Wiper Chairman.
