Abdulahi was arrested on Wednesday, two days after he had indicated that his life was in danger.

He is said to have received threats from certain people following his indifference with the suspended CeC Gababa.

Addressing media outside Nakuru Central Police station where Abdulahi is being held, Nakuru leaders led by Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama condemned the action.

“It is a right if someone has been threatened to report to police but they should not be intimidated. We are also asking the police not to allow to be used by some individuals,” said Arama.

Arama who was accompanied by Jubilee Party Nakuru Branch secretary general Peter Cheruiyot, Nakuru small traders association chairman Simon Ole Nasieku, Nakuru youth leader Daniel Kimani among others called on county leaders to respect the electorates.

“I am a Member of Parliament and I deserve the respect and everyone must be respected. Gababa was given a chance to serve the people of Nakuru and she should respect leaders and electorates,” said Arama.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Simon Ole Nasieku and Daniel Kimani.

“We are very saddened by actions of Gababa who has shown no respect even for MP Arama and we are calling on Governor Kinyanjui to act and avert one person destroying the whole county,” said Nasieku.
