In a rare and perhaps bizarre occurrence, a man from Githambo in Kiharu, Murang'a County had part of his lips bitten off by thugs during an attack as he walked home on Saturday night.
Speaking to a local vernacular station on Monday, the man said that he was walking home around 11pm on the fateful day when the apparently cannibalistic thugs attacked him.
"What I can't tell is how many attackers they were, but I can remember that when they confronted me I tried to fight back. The confrontation would resort to vicious fight which would see one of my attackers clench his teeth around my lower lip, biting it off," the man told Coro FM's area reporter.
The man who sighed of excruciating pain, added that after the attack, the thugs fled the scene leaving his lip bleeding profusely. However, he has since sought treatment at a local dispensary and gotten discharged.
The victim, nonetheless, notes that he still does not know what prompted the bizarre attack or who the culprits were as there have been no police arrests up to this point.
