Peter Aching'a is said to have killed his Nancy Kemunto following a domestic disagreement.

The suspect beat to death Kemunto at their rural home in Bosingi village, Nyamache in Kisii County.

According to neighbours, they heard Kemunto screaming for help while Aching'a was beating her up.

"As neighbours, we heard the deceased screaming for help and when we went to the homestead, the suspect threatened to slash us to death. Kemunto went silence only to be discovered that she was killed by her husband," said Philis Nyaboke, a neighbour.

Kisii county police commander Martin Kibet confirmed the incident saying the suspect was nabbed by Nyumba Kumi officials.

"The body of Kemunto had visible injuries on the face, legs and hands a clear indication that the suspect beat her mercilessly without knowing he will end up killing her," said Kibet.

He said the body was moved to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue while the suspect is being held at Kisii police station waiting to be charged in court.
