Kiogoro ward MCA Samuel Apoko has broken his silence following the brutal murder of Samuel Ragira alias 'OCS' Ragira who was shot dead by people believed to be from Mungiki group last week Thursday in Nairobi.
The vocal MCA said police should not be sluggish in probing the murder.
"I received the news of Ragira's death by a shock because he was a dedicated youth who was ready to take up leadership roles to defend the poor. His death is a blow to the Gusii community. I am appealing to police to ensure those who murdered him are brought to book," he said.
The ward rep said outlawed groups should be flushed out for the sake of ensuring security of all people.
"Police should not spare any gang groups. Let them start by dealing with the gang group who killed Ragira," he added.
Mr Apoko challenged leader from Kisii and Nyamira counties to team up to ensure Ragira's family is served with justice.
"Gusii leaders should come together and follow up the matter for the family to get justice," he stated.
