West Mugirango Member of Parliament Vincent Kemosi reiterated that politics should not be done in the churches.

He assured that he will not talk politics in the church so that he can be an example to the rest.

"Churches are meant for people to worship and not for politics. Church leaders and members should be vigilant and curb such behaviors, he said.

Mr Kemosi further challenged church leaders not to accept huge amount of money from political leaders whose integrity is questionable.

"Politicians stealing public money and take to churches as donations with an aim of seeking fame and support from church members should not be accepted. It is better for people to worship under trees than people stealing money to donate," he insisted.

The Ford Kenya allied MP appealed to local leaders to respect the church, adding that they should set a good example by restraining themselves from politicking.

The vocal lawmaker was speaking on Friday at Kebirigo market in Nyamira County during issuance of bursaries to needy students.
