For the third month now, Nyamira Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo has remained in an Indian hospital after being diagnosed with kidney problem.
The ODM deputy county boss, who acted as governor following prolonged absence of his boss John Nyagarama from May to July, is however in a stable condition.
Before his departure, Mr. Nyaribo had demanded to be given positions in the county government on a 50-50 arrangement based on his MOU with Nyagarama.
But Mr. Nyagarama, is said to have quashed the MOU on grounds that it doesn't apply.
The matter had been presented before Registrar of Political Parties in Nairobi but his absence has however led to delay.
Mr. Nyaribo, a close confidant of Raila Odinga, is keen to replace Mr. Nyagarama upon retire in 2022.
It is not yet clear when he will leave India but a source says doctors had recommended for specialised dialysis thus his prolonged stay.
