Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has asked ODM grassroot leaders from Nyamira to 'forget about NASA' and concentrate on revamping the party.
According to him, NASA coalition 'died' when three principals failed to attend Raila Odinga's mock swearing-in at Uhuru Park.
"We should now divert our energies in revamping the ODM party. We need to strengthen it by uniting our members.
"Forget about NASA, it died when those cowards snubbed our swearing-in ceremony. They are not our concerns anymore," he told a gathering at Damside Hotel on Saturday.
Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi gave the January 30th ceremony a wide berth, angering a section of ODM leaders.
But two months later, against the expectations of many opposition supporters, Raila Odinga reconciled with Uhuru Kenyatta in what is famously known as handshake.
Oparanya added: "We will not allow people without ideologies into political marriages. Let's now make the party strong and go to polls as a united team."
