The two shared podium on Wednesday and Thursday with the president openly praising opposition Raila Odinga following their March 9th handshake.

"It is only Raila and myself who have the better understand of the handshake. It means well for this nation," said Uhuru.

But Ruto, through his allies among them Kipchumba Murkomen, has openly accused the President of embracing Raila at the expense of Ruto's 2022 bid.

In a tweet on Thursday that would be pulled down minutes later, Ruto fired indirectly at Uhuru and Raila, who he perhaps believes that are working around the clock to bring him down.

“Those running 'injili ya shetani' that unless your father was a minister, a vice president or a president however hard you work you must remain poor and if not a pauper you must be corrupt & have stolen, they should know that those without god fathers we have GOD the father. Shindwe,”

President Uhuru's father, Jomo Kenyatta and Raila's dad Jaramogi Oginga Odinga were once President and Vice President respectively.

Earlier, the DP had linked dark forces of allegedly sponsoring an opinion poll that ranked him the most corrupt Kenyan at 33 per cent.

While Ruto castigates his destructors of linking his wealth accumulation to corruption, Murkomen is on record for accusing Uhuru of 'hiding' in lifestyle audit to cut short Ruto's 2022 ambitions.

"Some individuals in presidency are using lifestyle audit for witch-hunt. We can't allow this," he said.

The chemistry between the two has deteriorated with Ruto cutting short his Nyeri trip on Wednesday after it emerged that county leaders had gone to meet Uhuru without his knowledge.
