Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru on Tuesday hosted President Uhuru Kenyatta during the ongoing sixth Devolution Conference.
The governor briefed the Head of State on various issues including the state of the cottage industries in the county.
Waiguru noted that the county government has embarked on empowering the taxpayers through different projects in various sectors including textile, milk, animal feeds among others.
“President @UKenyatta visited @County_20 display at #DevCon2019. I briefed him on our county Wezesha Kirinyaga development agenda where women and youth are empowered to build cottage industries for animal feeds, textile, milk, etc. #KirinyagaRising #DevCon2019,” she said through her Twitter handle.
The county boss also noted that she and residents in Kirinyaga were happy following the tour to the region by President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

On his part, Uhuru urged governors to deliver on their promises before completion of their terms in office.
