Another high ranked member of the ruling Jubilee Party has admitted that the side is indeed having some serious internal problems which need immediate addressing.

Speaking in his county on Saturday, Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki confirmed that there exists a disagreement between two warring factions within the party.

He said that if not immediately looked into, the said 'civil war' might with time succeed in breaking the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led party apart.

He said that the situation has been worsened by the unending bickering between the two sides, one apparently allied to Uhuru and the other to his deputy William Ruto.

He called upon party leaders to avoid interfering in the ongoing campaign against corruption and let the matter handled by the relevant bodies.

“Jubilee Party is about to collapse because of the bickering. We should let offices mandated to fight corruption do their work unhindered.

"All leaders regardless of their position in government should take responsibility if found on the wrong,” the county chief was quoted by the Nation.

This comes at a time when guns have been drawn between the two sides, with Ruto and team complaining that the graft purge is a scheme to finish his political career.

Ruto who has been finding himself at the middle of most of the latest scandals has claimed that the fight is aimed at painting him corrupt to paralyze he 2022 presidential bid.

However, Uhuru, has vowed to carry on with his campaign, vowing to crush anyone standing in his way.
