City lawyer Steve Ogolla now says he is not opposed to Deputy President William Ruto's presidency.
In a tweet on Thursday, Ogolla said should Ruto emerge victorious in the 2022 general election, he will accept the outcome and throw his weight behind him as Kenya's fifth Head of State.
"Kenyans should know, I have no problem with DP Ruto being the President. I am completely liberated. Grievances are settled at the ballot. If Ruto gets past the ballot, he will have my unqualified support. No doubt," the vocal lawyer tweeted.
Some tweeps have been taking a swipe at Ogolla saying he was biased in his political commentary as he apparently seemed to incline to Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga's side.
Although Ogolla has not publicly declared his support for the DP's presidential bid, he has been defending him from those allegedly planning to sabotage his ambitions such as Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
"It is unfair to have PS Karanja Kibicho attack DP Ruto. If PS Karanja wants to descend into the arena of politics, let him resign. Ruto may have fallen out with Uhuru, but he's partly responsible for Jubilee's election and 10 year grip on power, to whom PS Karanja is a beneficiary," he posted recently.
The vocal lawyer is said to be eyeing the Lang'ata parliamentary seat in the next polls.
Nixon Korir of Jubilee party is the current Lang'ata MP.
