There are many ways to keep our bodies fit and healthy, and training is one of these ways. However, some people are overdoing this. When you overtrain, your body responds in certain ways.
Most people have always ignored these signs and go ahead to overtrain.
Here are signs you have been overtraining and you need to slow down;
Recurring pain
Usually, people should never feel pain after training. However, when you feel recurring pain in your shoulders, joints or the back after training, this is a clear sign you are overdoing it. Don’t ever ignore such signs and start relating them to something else like a previous injury or just a normal pain, always pay attention to small recurring pains.
More exhausted than usual
Normal training will make you sleep soundly. However, when you overtrain, you will feel exhausted and unable to have a sound sleep. Not getting enough sleep will affect your fitness performance and also make you lose concentration in your activities. Rest is super important thus when you start having difficulties sleeping after exercise, this is a sign you have been overtraining.
Feel sick
Feeling sick after training could be a sign you are overdoing it. When you overtrain, your immune system will weaken, thus being struck down by sickness won’t take long. Always check on your training lest you want to fall sick. Make sure you go slow on training if this happens.
