Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has put on notice rogue police officers who have been implicated in extra judicial killings.
Haji says that his office will follow up on cases of extra judicial killings and bring the culprits to book.
The DPP states that he will review reports of extra judicial killings by men and women in uniform and take appropriate action.
"We are going to review the complaints and the cases and take action on individual officers," he said on Sunday when he received a report on extra judicial killings from HAKI AFRICA.
The DPP said that human rights must be respected and that no one has a right to take another person's life.
He said that his office will review the cases against the police mentioned and recommend a course of action.
HAKI AFRIKA, a human rights organisation based at the Coast has been analyzing cases of extra judicial killings by the police in Coast and other parts of the country including Garissa.
Some police officers have been accused of extra judicial killings especially in areas of terrorism and youth radicalization.
A section of politicians have been calling on the government to form an inquiry into cases of extra judicial killings allegedly done by the police.
