Machakos county governor Alfred Mutua supports government's decision to demolish houses constructed on riparian lands.
The vocal governor said President Uhuru Kenyatta should ignore critics and work as by the promises he made to Kenyans.
"I am happy that President Kenyatta ordered the demolition of building constructed on riparian lands. Cartels must not be spared in the war against corruption. Illegal buildings should be brought down to recover the lands," he said.
Mutua said corruption should be fought by all means by both Jubilee and NASA leaders.
"Corruption is bad for the country's economy. I am, therefore, urging leaders from Jubilee and NASA to join hands to fight corruption. There must be zero cases of corruption in this country so that public funds can be used appropriately to initiate and fund various development projects and improve the livelihoods of our people," he noted.
Mutua said the DPP, Noordin Haji should go for the big fish in the war against graft. He called on governors to ensure public funds are utilised well to boost the lives of the electorates.
He was speaking on Monday at Gusii stadium in Kisii County.
