An elected Member of Parliament in Kisii County has confirmed that he has forgiven his political rivals and critics.
Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi said he doesn’t want to cross over to the new year 2019 hating his rivals.
“My rivals are forgiven and they should look for me we shake hands for the purpose of boosting service delivery in the constituency. The new year should come with blessings for all of us,” he noted.
The longest serving MP insisted the importance of his supporters to forgive critics saying Kitutu Chache North belongs to all constituents.
“My supporters should also forgive those who were in various camps during the last year’s polls. As a constituency we should move forward to 2019 with unity, peace and harmony,” said the lawmaker.
He challenged local politician to stop engaging in divisive politics with an aim of dividing locals along political lines.
“NASA leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta agreed to shake hands for the purpose ensuring Kenyans have peace. Local leaders should also copy the same example and be peace preachers across the constituency,” he added.
