Plans to have Deputy President William Ruto impeached have continued to draw mixed reactions among Kenyans and the political class.
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has come out to claim that the move is a conspiracy to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On Monday evening he took on his Twitter handle where he casted doubt with the move initiated by Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Speaking in Ugenya on Sunday, Orengo said they would unite with their counterparts in Jubilee Party to ensure Ruto is impeached.
He pledged to institute an impeachment motion against Ruto.
He said the Deputy President can be kicked out of office if he's found to have violated the Constitution or any other law.
On Sunday, a section of legislators asked Ruto to resign, accusing him of sabotaging President Kenyatta's war on corruption.
Led by nominated MP Maina Kamanda, the lawmakers said the wrangles in Jubilee Party stem from Mr Ruto’s attempt to derail Kenyatta’s war on corruption.
