Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has sent a stern warning to his critics telling them to shut up.
Murkomen who has recently been attracting all manner of criticism especially on social media said all his opponents are jealous of him because of his development record as well as his rising political star.
He said no amount of criticism and mudslinging will intimidate him.
"All dimwits that mock us and troll us will remain where they are or disintegrate," the Senate Majority Leader said in a tweet on Thursday.
"They will keep seeing us rise higher and higher. Please save this tweet for future reference."
He posted the message after social media users accused him of growing immensely rich within a short time while Kenyans are aware how much Senators earn.
Murkomen responded: "I am not the richest man in Kenya. Now I ask God to make it real," he said.
Murkomen is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto and is among Jubilee leaders pushing hard for Ruto to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he leaves State House in 2022.
His push has, however, been met with resistance from a section of leaders from Central Kenya who are out to frustrate the DP's quest to succeed Uhuru.
