Speaking during an exclusive interview on Inooro FM on Wednesday,  Mutua said that the nation has continued to lag behind in terms of development because of massive loss of public resources through dirty money deals.

He said that the rampant runaway corruption has affected several sectors of the economy over the past years.

He also said that unless the national government and county leadership are going to work together nothing much will be achieved at the end of the day.

“We must fight corruption at both the National and County level. Remember, All 47 counties receive only 15% of the National budget and 85% remains with the National Government. #Tumechoka @inooroke,” he said.

The governor also expressed his commitment to develop his county before he completes his second and final term in power.

The governor has been rooting for a lifestyle audit on all officials of the government. He has been urging leaders to remain accountable to the people who elected them into different offices.

Mutua has also expressed interest in the nation’s top seat before 2022.
