Members of Parliament are now calling for the impeachment of Treasury CS Henry Rotich.
Speaking on Tuesday, the MPs led by Saboti's Caleb Hamisi and his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Baraza said they had given the president up to Friday to send Rotich home.
He said that if the President does not sack Rotich, then they will proceed with impeachment plan.
The legislators argued they had a number of reasons why the CS should be fired among them being the recent shocking discovery of mercury laced sugar being sold to unsuspecting Kenyans
"We have a mirage of reasons why we need Rotich to go home. We have had in the past incidence of Eurobond that was never clearly explained to Kenyans, even as far as Raila Odinga tried to find out what were the proceeds of Eurobond and where they had gone(sic)," noted Amisi
"Rotich was just there ignorantly lazy on his work and not really coming up to the public and owing his duty as the CS in-charge of the Treasury(sic),"he added.
The lawmakers accused Rotich of being arrogant towards tackling the sugar issue.
