Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has asked the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji to seek more information from Josephine Kabura regarding the alleged loss of Sh791 million.
Governor Waiguru said that DPP Haji should push hairdresser Kabura to reveal the names of individuals who made her lie in an affidavit that implicated the former cabinet secretary to the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.
In the affidavit, Ms Kabura had accused governor Waiguru and her close associates of being behind the loss of Sh791 million at NYS.
The governor asked the DPP to grill Ms Kabura further after it was established by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) that Ms Kabura was lying.
Governor Kabura asked DPP Haji to find out who Ms Kabura was working for and where she took the stolen money.
