A 13-year-old girl has appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to fulfill his promise of hosting her at State House.
In an interview with K24, Murugi revealed that Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in power, had assured her that he will organize for her to visit him after she entertained him an excellent performance that touched his heart.
Murugi, who performed for the president in 2014, told the media that her efforts to meet him have proven futile.
She said that she has tried to visit Harambee House to get an appointment with the President but nothing is forthcoming.
Murugi has also said that local leaders have been giving her promises but none of them has made her dream come true.
Murugi, who is a student at Tumaini Junior School, said that her dreams have been cut short since the death of her father. She further said that Deputy President William Ruto had promised to meet her as well but the dream remains dark.
While speaking to K24’s, the mother said that her daughter’s desire is undying. Murugi is a peace crusader and she dreams of becoming a journalist when she grows up. The girl believes meeting the commander in chief of the armed forces will change her life forever.
