Residents of Nyakongo village in Gesima ward are yet to recover from shock after a huge sack was retrieved from a dead cow's stomach.
According to eye witnesses, the cow fell ill and struggled for few days before it finally died on Saturday.
"The owner called us when it fell ill suddenly and died. We dissected it only to retrieve a huge sack," said Antony Nyabando.
Vincent Nyaribo, the owner of the cow, said that it was impossible for it to swallow the sack since it was under surveillance.
"I am yet to understand because in the first place, I've never brought sacks near my dairy cows. How it swallowed it is a mystery," he said.
Samples of wire mesh were also found in the stomach further raising speculations about the mysterious death.
Veterinary doctor Joshua Magoma was at pain to explain the circumstances but also seemed to agree with external interference theory.
"Sometimes it's impossible but it's hard to tell. Maybe someone forced it or some magic used."
