Caroline Wanjiru Karugu is the current Nyeri Deputy Governor

She was appointed to the post following the death of the late Dr Wahome Gakuru who was duly elected as Nyeri Governor last year. He, however, died in a road accident last year in November along Kenol-Thika highway.

Karugu is a Ph.D. holder and has worked for top-notch companies and corporations in various managerial capacities.

Unknown to many, she won the prestigious World Young Credit Union Professionals award in 2010. The award was sponsored by US-based World Council of Credit union. 

She is an embodiment of beauty with brains.
