Deputy President (DP) William Ruto has congratulated Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama, and Liverpool striker Divock Origi for reaching UEFA Champions league final.
The DP could not hide his joy after the two made it to the final of the most coveted cup in the world of football.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham staged amazing comebacks to qualify for the final.
Liverpool hammered Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield after losing of 3-0 at Camp Nou.
On the other hand, Tottenham beat Ajax 3-2 to qualify for the competition.
“Congratulations to Victor Wanyama and Divock Origi for playing starring roles for @SpursOfficial and @LFC respectively in a successful @ChampionsLeague campaign,” he tweeted.
Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and Senator Murkomen Kipchumba have also lauded the two players.
Tottenham and Liverpool will meet at the final set to be played in Madrid.
The meeting means that the UEFA Champions League trophy will return to an English team after years of waiting.
