A determined and courageous MP allied to opposition from Kisii County has refused to surrender to opponents.
Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati urged politicians from Kisii region not to be scared about his involvement in the regional politics.
"I was born a Kisii and therefore, there is no crime when I take part in the political affairs in the region. As leaders, we should not fear one another. I am appealing to political rivals not to fear me," he stated.
Arati who doubles as the Gusii community spokesperson maintained that elected leaders and those who lost during the last year's polls must step up efforts to ensure the community benefits from the national cake.
"Politicians should not fail our community. Unity is important because it will enable leaders to negotiate for the national cake. Livelihoods of our people must be improved no matter what," Arati argued.
He said he has started a project whereby local farmers will get free avocado seedlings for planting.
"Our farmers should be helped to produce more agricultural products which they will sell and earn income to boost their livelihoods," he stated.
