The refrigerators valued at over Sh18 million will be used in storage of children's immunization as well as drugs in health facilities across the county.

Speaking after flagging off their distribution to health facilities, Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno said the refrigerators will ensure locals get quality and safe drugs.

Chemno said they have already trained four technicians who will help to ensure that the machines work effectively without any defaults.

“The refrigerators will be distributed to our 47 sub-county hospitals and in the near future we will ensure that all our 121 facilities across the county have the same facilities,” he told the press in Eldoret on Wednesday.

The Deputy governor further reiterated the county governments' commitment to ensuring that residents get quality healthcare through the provision of sufficient drugs and enough manpower to health facilities.

He also noted that the long-awaited doctors from Cuba have arrived and will be stationed at Burnt Forest Sub County hospital.

The two doctors will, however, be rotated to all county hospitals to serve residents.
