As the Kenya University Students Organization (KUSO) prepares for the uphill elections ahead, Kibabii University will on April 26 elect its student leaders.

The battle of the Titans is expected as students prepare to elect their congress leadership, who will ultimately elect the leaders of  Students Organization of Kibabii University (SOKU).

Speaking with Hivisasa, Boniface Odhiambo a third-year Bachelor of Commerce student battling for the position of the chairperson said he is confident he will emerge victoriously.

"It will be a tough day waiting to see who they will build trust in to be the custodian of the Students Organization Kibabii University  (SOKU) but I hope for victory in the end," Odhiambo said

His rival Collins Simiyu noted that he is upbeat of clinching the chairmanship. 

"I believe in myself and I hope the Congress leaders will choose wisely and I believe that will be me. Once chosen, I will fully discharge the mandate given unto me by the students," Simiyu said.

Different students vying for different positions have expressed their hopes of emerging victors for the SOKU positions who will thereafter, participate in the National elections across the Universities to elect KUSO leaders.

KUSO elections have attracted massive leaders with Fikirini Jacobs, the Pwani University Chairperson and Ann Mvurya, the University of Nairobi (UoN) taking the lead for the race to succeed the outgoing Anthony Manyara.
