President Uhuru Kenyatta has met Mombasa County boss thrice since moving to the coastal town last week, it has now emerged.
Last Thursday, Joho met Uhuru along with ODM leader Raila Odinga in a meeting that lasted for over 3 hours.
During the meeting, Joho discussed with Uhuru matters concerning county development.
And on Friday, Uhuru also held a closed door meeting with Uhuru where their legacies were broadly discussed.
"They have met thrice if am not wrong. The first one Raila was present," said Joho's aide who spoke in confidence.
He added: " we also had meetings on Friday and another one on Sunday in Kilifi's Vipingo Ridge. They unanimously agreed to support each other for the sake of good legacy."
Also, operations in Kenya's sea port was discussed in which Uhuru agreed to have more locals getting opportunities at the KPA.
Presently, the county government of Mombasa is in Supreme Court where it wants all port functions to be devolved.
Last year, Joho had his security withdrawn following verbal exchanges with the president.
Their latest cordial working relationship was precipitated by Raila Odinga's decision to work with government.
