Kenya Police returned to the Kenya Hockey League with a bang, winning their two fixtures; against Western Jaguars and USIU.
The two victories, 4-0 and 1-0, meant that the boys in blue cut leaders Butali Warriors to six points, and exert more pressure on the leaders.
Warriors have played 15 matches and top the table with 42 points, with Kenya Police coming second with 36 points after 13 matches.
The police team had initially requested a few weeks’ breaks due to financial issues but is now back in contention.
Butali and Police have each lost only just one match this season and are scheduled to meet at their final fixture, a match that may determine the league winner.
The team will hope to continue with their rich form and possibly overhaul the six-point gap separating them and the leaders.
