Many of us dream of a good job, good pay, good working environment and numerous benefits from the company we would like to work for. However, this may turn out vice-versa when you land a job, full of morale but you get demotivated as days go by.
You wish to point out the causes of the demoralization but there is no room for that. If you are an employer and you realize that the success of your company is not forthcoming, think of the way you treat your employees.
These are some of the causes of de-motivation to employees;
1. Absence of praise and reward
Employees who do not receive recognition of what they have done leads to de-motivation. A good employer and a leader will know when to recognize good work done by their employees and to what extent so that they may not hurt the other employees.
2. Poor Communication
This applies either on conversing or listening. When an employee has the concern to raise, they expect their managers to listen and make a decision or assist to help. According to Kristi Hedges, if this fails to take place, the employee feels demotivated and their productivity may decrease.
3. Being treated as robots
Some of the employers treat their employees as drones. They do not realize that they are human beings with needs outside the company. Some of these bosses overwork their employees and give them peanuts. Employers should understand that their employees have different hobbies, interests and families to take care of.
