A good Samaritan on Monday posted on Facebook that he had rescued the man from a fatal road accident that happened at Rivetax in Eldoret town.

According to the rescuer Mike Cmb, he took the late Allan Kipyego to a number of health facilities within Eldoret town but the doctors demanded Sh50,000 before him to ICU.

He, however, did not indicate which hospitals had demanded the cash, keeping in mind that Eldoret hosts a number of public and private health facilities.

"I'm out and about looking for space for him in ICU but we as good people are putting money before life. Everywhere I go they are asking for a deposit of Kshs 50, 000 and yet what I have in my pocket is only Kshs 12, 000," the Facebook user posted

Sadly later in the evening, another Facebook user, Chelimo Korir Angie, who said she was a neighbour to the late Allan took a social media to appreciate Mike for the good heart.

She also condoled the villagers and family for losing him.

"I choose to thank you for your selfless effort on behalf of our village. To all our neighbors thanks once again for your support while at referral. I have known kap cheptuan as close friends. Mutyo Judy Chepngetich, Alexander Boen, Hyacinth Blaiz, Millie Boen and entire Kunurter village. We lost a young and energetic man. Rest easy Allan!" Chelimo noted on Facebook.
