Dagoretti North MP Paul Simba Arati has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta not to look back in the fight against impunity in the country.
Arati said the ongoing demolition of buildings constructed on riparian lands is a good step.
“Uhuru should not succumb to blackmail and intimidation from cartels, let him fight impunity and as MPs we are behind him. Buildings constructed on riparian lands must be brought down,” he said.
The NASA allied MP said after the handshake President Uhuru Kenyatta has been working around improving the lives of Kenyans.
“We want more corrupt government workers to be arrested and be prosecuted over abuse of office and misuse of public property,” he added.
The lawmaker said Kenya should be a State free from corruption and cartels.
He said wastage of public funds will derail development and anyone caught engaging in corruption must face the full force of the law.
“DPP Noordin Haji should not fear anyone engaging in dubious dealings. Criminals must be charged in a court of law,” he said.
He was speaking on Monday at Bobasi area in Kisii County.
