Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has said that he will not be frightened in the war against corruption and organized crime.
The DPP says that he is fearless and no amount of intimidation from any quarters will make him loosen the grip on corruption.
Haji says that he only fears 'Allah', (God), adding that he will smoke out all people linked to corruption.
In an interview on KTN News on Sunday, the DPP said that he is determined to 'slay' the corruption dragon.
“I am fearless and I will take anyone who is implicated or linked to corruption to court whether he or she holds a big position or not,” he said.
The DPP asked Kenyans to be patient and give him time to fight the corruption dragon.
“Kenyans should not lose hope and instead work with my office and other agencies involved in the fight against corruption,” he said.
Haji’s office has in the recent days ordered for arrest and prosecution of top government officials linked to graft and other crimes.
Last month, Haji ordered for arrest and prosecution of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu.
Mwilu is facing corruption related charges and has temporarily blocked her prosecution.
The DPP is currently prosecuting Migori Governor Okoth Obado who is linked to the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby.
